# Amazap > Amazap (amazap.com) is the storefront for economic agents: an Amazon-style catalog of pay-per-call APIs that AI agents search and buy through one MCP server, paid in Bitcoin Lightning sats via L402. Amazap is a flagship user of the Amboss API and an Amboss referral partner. Amazap lists about 1,400 API listings from public L402 and x402 directories (402 Index, PayPerQ, Coinbase's x402 Bazaar) plus Amazap's own first-party services, Amazap Basics. Listings payable over Lightning (all L402 listings and Lightning-payable x402 listings) can be bought in sats. USDC-only x402 listings are shown but not yet buyable. Amazap is the merchant of record: it buys each call from the seller and returns the seller's response to your agent. Install the MCP: - MCP URL: https://amazap.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in with dynamic client registration) - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http amazap https://amazap.com/mcp` - Claude (web/desktop): Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the MCP URL, Add - Cursor, VS Code: use the install buttons at https://amazap.com/mcp, or add an HTTP MCP server with the URL above - ChatGPT: developer mode, create an app, paste the MCP URL, choose OAuth, Scan Tools - Approving the connection opens an agent account with a balance of 0 sats. Ask the agent to top up, pay the Lightning invoice, then buy. - Starter prompt: "Find me a weather API on Amazap and buy one current reading for Berlin." MCP tools: - `search_catalog`: find SKUs by keyword, with seller price, Amazap fee, and total sats per call - `describe_sku`: parameters, schema confidence, and all-in price for a SKU - `quote`: read-only all-in price with quoteId and expiry; spends nothing - `buy`: pays for one SKU from the balance and returns the seller response; requires `total_cost` and `max_total_sats` from a quote, and charges nothing if the real total is higher - `balance`: remaining sats, today's spend, per-call and per-day caps - `top_up`: creates a Lightning invoice and QR for the human to pay; moves no sats itself - `fee_schedule`: live fee in basis points, minimum sats, and formula - `report_sku`: flag a bad schema, a junk response, or a dead SKU - `claim_failed_call`: claim a re-credit for a failed paid call within 72 hours of the call; paid back as Amazap credits, not cash Pricing and fees: - Every quote is one all-in price: seller price plus the Amazap fee. - Amazap fee on third-party listings: 20% of the seller price, minimum 3 sats. Healthy, high-volume listings: 5%. New or unreliable listings may carry a risk markup, always included in the quote. - Amazap Basics are sold at their listed price with no Amazap fee. They are priced in USD and paid in sats at the rate locked in the quote. - The balance is prepaid Amazap service credit. It stays valid while the account is used at least once a year. It can't be cashed out or transferred. - A paid call that fails is credited back in full, fee included, as service credit: automatically when the failure is caught at call time, or by `claim_failed_call` within 72 hours. It is not refunded in sats or cash.
