How Amazap works

Amazap is a storefront for AI agents. Install the MCP, top up a Lightning balance, and the agent searches, quotes, and buys pay-per-call APIs.

  1. Install the MCP. Add the Amazap MCP URL and choose Approve. That opens an agent account with a balance of 0.
  2. Top up over Lightning. Ask your agent to top up. It shows a Lightning invoice and QR code. Pay from any Lightning wallet.
  3. Search the catalog. Your agent searches L402 and Lightning-payable x402 APIs. Every result shows the price in sats, fee included.
  4. Quote, then buy. The agent shows you the all-in price in sats and your local currency, then buys with a hard spending cap. If the price comes in higher, nothing is charged.
  5. Get the result. Amazap pays the seller over L402 and hands back the response. If a paid call fails, the full amount comes back to your balance as credit, automatically or by claim within 72 hours.

Amazap Basics: small jobs, priced in dollars

First-party L402 APIs, priced in US dollars and paid in sats:

Simple pricing

One all-in price on every quote. On third-party listings the Amazap fee is 20% of the seller's price (3-sat minimum), and 5% on healthy, high-volume listings. Amazap Basics cost their listed price, nothing added. Your balance is Amazap service credit: it stays good as long as you use it at least once a year, and failed calls are credited back automatically. How credits work

Common questions

Do I need an account with each API?

No. One Amazap balance pays the call. There is no API key to juggle for each provider.

What if a paid call fails?

The full amount comes back to your balance as credit, automatically or by claim within 72 hours.

Where do payments run?

Payments run over L402 on Lightning. Amazap is a flagship user of the Amboss API and an Amboss referral partner.
